December 1 and So Many "12 Days of Christmas" Ideas

Ah, December! Sweet as sugar!  Here we are already on December 1.  Did you all turn your Susan Branch calendar pages to December?  It's that house covered in snow so cute?  We had snow last week and I was able to take photos of our "Sweet Woodruff Acres" home covered in snow!  Here it is:

Sweet Woodruff Acres

There are a huge number of fun "Twelve Days of Christmas" blog ideas going on starting today!  Here's just a couple to get you off and running:

First is Melissa Runcie (Madabella):  You can go to her blog and subscribe to get it in your email daily.  What I love about her 12 Days Project is that she includes Scripture.
"Gifted: 12 Days of Handmade features various ideas for making handmade gifts, homemade decor, gift wrapping ideas and also includes free downloadable projects to print."
Go check out Day One now!

Next is Jo Packman's Blog,  Where Women Create.  (You can see where I create here!)  There are plenty of drawings through this event, and many crafty ladies will share their creative Christmas ideas.  You'll want to stop by daily!  The First Day of Holiday traditions is here.

The last 12 Days blog event I want to send you to is WipperBerry blog's "Twelve Days of Christmas" gift giving ideas.  You can start today, or set yourself up to start giving on December 13 so that you last gift is given on Christmas Eve.  Day one is here.

Okay, now that I have you all inspired and are clicking your keyboard with wonderful new blogs and Christmas links, let me continue with some shopping, and then a song....

Every year Amy Powers makes up a "Wish List" that is so much fun to read.  Go check out her 2010  list here, "the wish list, 2010".  And if you see Santa, tell him I love that white coat...

Every year I love to add a new Christmas album to my Christmas CD collection.  I'm not sure what to add this year.  Any suggestions?  I did hear a new song on Lea's blog(Shabby Olde Potting Shed) by Amy Grant, "I Need a Silent Night", (listen here on Lea's blog).  I thought I had heard every single Amy Grant Christmas song she's ever sung, but I was wrong.  I love this new song, but the album it's on has all the songs I always have, so I will probably just download the one song on iTunes.

Did you get a chance to download Linda's "Christmas Cookie Cookbook" yet?  I was going to make the pumpkin cookies last night, but ended up making a applesauce snack cake.  Don't ask, it just worked out that way!  It made way to much for just Mark and I so I gave a big plate-full to my sister-in-law to take to her work today.  Back to work (my Big Girl Job), painting signs and making cookies....

Blessings, and Happy December!  Hugs, Heidi

Beautiful snow! I am trying to get used to snow again. After living in Arkansas for several years it just seems strange to look out the window and see white. I love it, though.

Right now I am listening to Bebo Norman's "Christmas from the Realms of Glory." The extended version has 18 songs and they are all wonderful. I downloaded it from Amazon last week. It is definitely my new fave!
